The space allotted to the drive C: in my computer was 14.15GB.On 5/8/09 the free space available was 2.12 GB.On 9/8/09 it is decreased to 1.94 GB and on 15/8/09 it is 1.74 GB .That is the free space in the drive ' C ' is gradually decreasing. Why this is happening ? I am regularly surfing 3 to 4 hours in the net. The free space depletion really annoying me. Please help...( OS windows XP Professional)

You might also disable hibernation, http://www.opentutorial.com/Disable_hibern...n_in_windows_xp

If you are running System Restore...and you have not dumped your Recycle Bin...any combination of the three factors I listed could easily account for additional space used by the system.

ATF Cleaner is a good program as well. It will clean up your temporary internet files and browser cache.
