I have desktop live version of ubuntu-7.10-desktop-i386................

currently i am using win xp professional version 2002 SP 3


could it be possible to use this live version to back up data when my win xp get corrupted ?

please help

well if the hard disk is not damaged then yes you can boot into ubuntu and put your data on a usb stick or cd
