hello,
my laptop (which was running Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2003) died of a major motherboard failure. I had someone save my files and data off the hard drive. the only Outlook file he found had a file extension .n2k. That doesn't seem to be something that will allow me to import the data back into Outlook on my new computer.
is there a way to do it? is there another way to salvage the outlook data (contacts, calendar entries, emails) from the hard drive?
thank you.

Hi Liz,
i would have the person rescan the hard drive for .pst files, as the nk2 file is only a list of email addresses which you have emailed, for example if you emailed bob@bobsworld.com if you type the letter b into the to box it would list all email addresses you have sent mail to beggining with b so bob@bobsworld.com would be listed.
I'm afraid without a .pst file its not looking good for you.
Sorry
James
