Can you rephrase your problem in simple words? What I get is that you have ubuntu cd and you need help.

lol! Ok gebrand in dutch means burn, so my guess is that marcmelo burned a cd with ubuntu but it doesn't work, is that correct marcmelo? What about formata?

You want to install Ubuntu on your PC? There can be two most common scenarios :

1. You don't have any operating system like Windows or Linux on your computer. In that case, just boot from Ubuntu CD and choose to install it on your hard disk. The installation instruction will be shown in the process. When asked for partition, choose Guided resize - use entire disk. If you have more than one hard disk, choose the correct hard disk (sda or sdb etc). More information : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GraphicalInstall

2. You have Windows installed and you want to dual boot. You can use WUBI install to install Ubuntu from withing Windows (more information - http://www.howtoforge.com/wubi_ubuntu_on_windows ). OR if you want to install Linux on a separate partition then follow same steps as in case 1 but dont let it overtake hard disk but choose Guided resize - resize SCSI1 and use free space (it would be something like that). WARNING : If you feel like you do not know much about installing operating systems, partitioning, you should ask a friend who is expert in these fields and has more knowledge than you. Any mistake during the steps of installing Ubuntu can lead to total data loss on your hard disk.

Okay carldu made it clear, you tried to burn Ubuntu ISO image on CD but it did not burn correctly.
