When you get done building your computer and everything and turn it on for the first time how do you install all the drivers like the os, motherboard disc. vid card, and other things how do you go about doing that

Boot with the operating disk in the optical drive. Let the OS install. Follow the on screen prompts. When the OS is done loading it will restart. Allow Windows to launch for the first time and complete the install. When it has walked you through the rest of the install, setting user name, clock, time zone, etc. It will finish. Follow this driver disk that comes with the motherboard. Most are automated installs. Some are pick and choose depending on what is not included on the operating system disk.

I will add that XP will install some drivers automatically, if they are in the driver cache for XP.

Depends on the age of the motherboard.

Typically, the drivers install along with the OS. Often, the drivers will be out-of-date, so you should run Windows Update once Windows has booted for the first time. Unique or hard-to-find components may not have their drivers installed during the initial install. Most users don't have this problem though.
