I'm a history teacher who makes her own worksheets using Microsoft Word. Adobe is rather expensive. I'd like to find out if there is free software that allows me to create the worksheet or organizer and save it as PDF?

If all you need to do is save documents in PDF format then there are numerous free programs available.
I use BullZIP PDF Printer. After installing, you'll see that a new printer has become available system-wide. Simply "print" the document using this printer and it will spit out a PDF for you.

Oh Amazing Andrew my specialty is American History with emphasis on WAR and Presidents. I just love all those founding fathers.
Sadly, knowadays if you make things too hard for the kiddies their parents complain. Go figure.
Besides, if you keep them from playing Wii they might bring a gun to school and shoot ya!
