Just a quick question for developers out there to see if you use DOCTYPES in their source code. I am a keen standards based web developer and I like to use valid source code. Part of my life is search engineering and I get called to engineer website for some clients that are truly terrible in terms of source code. Whats everyones opinion? Regards Duenna PS title was supposed to be "Go on who uses them?" sorry fat fingers! (mod edit: corrected title.jgweed) This post has been edited by jgweed: Jul 16 2005, 11:59 PM |

I do, but am not sure if it really makes that much of a difference. SEO work is such a guessing game, that you are better off being as strict towards the specifications as you can , in case it matters.
Just doing random searches on google, though, makes me think it does not matter, but you never know for the future. -------------------- Lawrence
