UPGRADE Compaq Presario SR2170NX

HP/Compaq max reccomended 2 gb memory. ati radeon xpress 1100 chipset.read somewhere that chipset can support 4 gb.
motherboard is ECS RC415ST-HM/can i use 4 gb of ram

If all you want to do is upgrade the RAM to 2GB then you can easily do that. 4GB, however, is not supported. Elitegroup Computer Systems made that board for HP/Compaq and it has a memory limit of 2GB.
