Hi,

I have a Netgear WNR2000 wireless router. When using my laptop downstairs, performance seems as good as if it were next to the router (in the sense that the connection speed is good and there are rarely any disconnections from the network). In the same spot downstairs when using a wifi enabled phone, it will lose the network quite frequently. The phone is a Nokia 5800 but it's the same story with other wifi phones. It's not really a problem but i'm just wondering what it is about the laptop that means it performs better wirelessly. The laptop has a Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/Draft-N WLAN adapter.

Thanks,
