Hello, I just downloaded Sun's version of VM Ware called VirtualBox. I also downloaded a VDI file for Ubuntu Studio 8.10. I set it up, and everything thing seems to be working alright except for the Internet. I am connected through an Ethernet cable and it still doesn't want to connect.

Any suggestions?

hey Slushy

here is how to do it
  • Start VirtualBox
  • Click on the Settings Button for the Operating System you want.
  • Click on the Network button on left hand side menu.
  • In the Screen that appears click on the dropdown next to "Attached To:"
  • Select Bridged Adapter
  • Under that, select the drop down box for teh interface name, probably eth0 for you.
  • Hit OK
  • Start the VM and see if that works.

It didn't work for me. But I think I'm just going to load the regular version of Ubuntu. Thanks for the help.
