I'd say that if one of those, or both, get you here on BC

then you have a first class setup!

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

lol
yeah they get me here...I'm currently on Firefox 3.5.2 on my desktop...
I'd update the laptop but the battery is dead until Targus sends me the new adapter.
but yup...it's quite useful to have two computers...
one for me personally and one for my brother and sister to use...and for me to play TF2 on.

I have run older machines with good luck.
As long as you know the PCs limitations then you you do`t need the latest and greatest to be content.

And Hey, the price was right.

Pfft! Everyone knows that you need to upgrade your entire computing environment every 36.278 days! How else can you expect to run all the latest and greatest malware without serious slowdowns?

Actually, I echo what JohnWho said; if it works enough to get me to BC, then I can cope...

Celerons with the Prescott core are great for overclocking.

My system temp hovers around 40°C. It's a Prescott Celeron and currently OC'd by 20% to 3.2GHz. I've had it as high as 3.46GHz but it did tend to heat up a bit at that level (30% OC)

To date, this has not happened to me
