Its an AOL thing you know --

AOL = Always Off Line

Ok bad joke I know but what version of Windows are you using and what version of AOL do you have as well as how much memory is installed on your computer?

AO--HELL. Not to insult or anything I just hate the program. AOL runs very poorly on computers pre-Windows XP especially ones that barely make the requirements. When you do CTRL-ALT-DELETE are there a lot of programs running in the Task Manager? If there are a lot you could try going to Run--> msconfig (hit enter) going to start up and chosing the bare minimums so that you'll free up a lot of extra memory when you boot.
