I was defragmenting all my HDD. C,D,and E. Some how or some where I deleted IE, and possibly a couple of other files. I tried to load it back. No luck ! I have tried to do it four times to no avail ! What or how can I get it back? I've looked at free apps, and saw one for getting files back.
Would it be better to move my files and reinstall? Or just reinstall like I have it?
I'm thinking about moving all the files and programs to a external drive then clean HDD.
Any Help would be appreciated !!!!!

I will post other question next !!!

IE can not be deleted or uninstalled (easily). What I think probably happened is that the desktop icon and the quick launch shortcut (if quick launch is enabled) got removed\deleted. Go to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer. I`m betting you will find it there.

What program were you using to defrag? That should not have caused anything to disappear or be deleted.
All my answers will assume you are running XP. If this is on another operating system please let us know so we can be more specific in our answers.

Saw your other question, but lets try to deal with this one first. I would like a little better understanding of what is going on prior to going further.

I found out what happened! I was removing some old programs at the same time. I hit remove components by mistake.
Then I defraged! When it was all over, is when I found it was gone. Got it back now! Had to remove SP3 to do it.
So I learned a good lesson. Watch what you are doing, and read!
Thanks All for Help.....

For a moment I thought: Finally someone did it! LOL

MS has made it very hard to remove IE. Now they are shipping Windows 7 with IE too with no options for 3rd party browsers.
