I have received the following from my Event Log and it has caused 2 crashes of my computer:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Nero BackItUp Scheduler 3
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 7/30/2009
Time: 10:59:45 AM
User: N/A
Computer: USER-A539869246
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Nero BackItUp Scheduler 3 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Nero BackItUp Scheduler 3 is started. HRESULT: 1.

The tech who reconditioned my machine must have installed this program.. I don't use Nero and when I when I tried to uninstall it I had problems and I had to restore my system.

Is their a special way to uninstall Nero?

Thanks

Have you tried this Nero product from softpedia?

I would not necessarily trust the uninstall tool...I would also do a manual search of my registy (using regedit) for anything with Nero or Ahead in a name.

And, of course, a manual search of files/folders, using the XP Search function (Start/Search) and same keywords.
