Complete PC backup- no installation disc

hi guys,

i made a copy of complete PC backup on my harddisk. My vista comes with my laptop and there is no recovery disc. When i person the restore process, it asks for a DVD or CD. is there anyway i can use my complete pc backup image in my harddrve?

Norton ghost may work, but you would be better off to contact your computer vendor and for a small fee they will send you
any disk's that came with the original system, you will need all pertinent information about the original install.

clicking Willy Nilly and installing or downloading everything in site

why won't my laptop work?
