laptop touchpad sensitivity

How do I tone down the touchpad? Its sensitivity is messing up my typing. I have Vista and a Dell laptop. I go Control Panel>Mouse>Then I look through all the tabs at the top intensely for an hour and can't find any touchpad altering properties
