Recently reformated my PC to windows XP after some bad virus issues. It is an HP m7160n media center with the 945g intel chipset. However, some of the drivers are not there, specifically the ethernet controller (which would be the main concern since it can't get online without it). I have searched high and low and have found nothing. I've heard that because this is a (and correct if I'm using the correct term) OEM I won't find the drivers on any of their respective websites (which seems true at this moment). So I'm trying to figure out if there is anything I can do. I'm pulling my hair out over this issue.
Thanks,
SNK

I went there, and they have the driver for the modem but not the ethernet controller, which if I am not mistaken is the driver I need.
Under my device manager it doesn't even say I have a modem

fixed the problem just a bit before you posted that.
I needed to find the type of ethernet controller that was installed so I could find the driver. Once you know that it is easy, but finding the device? I am still not sure how it is found normally.
I used "lavalys" which helped me find that out and then found the driver on intel.
Thanks for the help though.
