I've been googling, but haven't been able to find what I want - one way or the other.

I've built a database of people by state. So I have column A for NAMES and column B for STATE. How do I get Access to break down how many instances of ILLINOIS or NEW JERSEY (or all of them) and then publish it on a report?

And is there a way to generate a report based on only a portion of that data? Say I want to generate a report not for STATE, but only for entries that have ARIZONA in the STATE column?
