Hello, I installed ubuntu using wubi. After reboot comp went straight to xp. Wubi never restarted ( i was under the impression that after d/l comp would reboot and then wubi would finish installation). When I restarted wubi manually, it stated that ubuntu was installed and gave me an option to uninstall. I have no opportunity to boot into ubuntu. Ubuntu is listed in add/remove and program files. ubuntu shows at the boot.ini. Any ideas ? Thanks Joe

ok,MadDawg. I learned from this site that it's a good practice to create a folder (download) in my comp. D/l everything there so you can run a virus check. Long story short i kept getting an error code(when i selected ubuntu at boot) that said windows can not start because the following file is missing\corrupt. <windows root >\system32\hal.dll. So I uninstalled ubuntu\wubi, re downloaded to C: changed boot settings so there is a time out screen and everything worked fine. Thanks Joe
