Good Morning; I am having this same problem, and it just started this evening... when i first opened itunes this evening, it said missing components or something to that effect... i ran a virus scan.. 453 trojan horses, all in the Itunes, ipod, or system volume restore folder dlls, among others, but those are teh bulk. i removed all the folders, did add/remove, tried to reinstall... no luck, i got the exact error you got about the HRESULT 2147023782....
i just ran another scan, after trying to reinstall..
1353 trojans... small.BOG....
here's the kicker... if my internet was virused, i'd be ok.. but itunes?
I am a wedding DJ, my itunes is my career, and i now have 12 hours to remove 1300 viruses, restore itunes, pray i have a hard drive, and iron my tuxedo and make playlists...
showering is optional at this point.. my house, the car and the venue, all air conditioned.
THank you all; I can't wait to hear your responses.
is there a free registry cleaner??? web addy please?
