Hello everyone, I am new to the forums and I would like to say that this website has helped me many times, its my #1 source.
I am using Windows Vista, my laptop is an ACER Aspire 3680-2354 notebook.(Home Basic)
As I logged in my account on the laptop, everything was loaded except I had an error message "Windows Is Checking A Solution To The Problem". Then it changed to "Windows Is Restarting." At this point, my desktop screen started blinking, and it would restart itself like a couple times....it did this in a cycle, it restarted the screen itself, but not the whole entire computer. Its doing this everytime I log into my account on the computer. All I see is just my background picture with no icons on it, and my taskbar at the bottom has disappeared.
Secondly, I asked a friend to help and he said to go into safemode and create a new task running explorer.exe. I tried this and it does not work. The administrative account for the notebook showed a black screen with no icons however, an error message saying "Windows Has Stopped Running". Then I go into my own account in safemode, and my friend said to use system restore. I quickly ran its recommended process. But as I was going into getting to system tools, The toolbar was blinking quite rapidly, unabling me to click on the Start Menu.
After I ran System Recovery, or System Restore, it said it was successful. It said my files are still there. But when I logged into my account on the laptop, it still does the same thing again, the two error messages at the beginning, and the screen was just restarting itself again...
I dont think I have a virus or anything, because AVG didnt pick anything up, but I could be wrong.
I am having great amount of trouble, and it would be very appreciated to get some help!!!
Thanks!!!!
