hello first post,i have a teen that occupies main computer,my nephew gave me a g3 desk model ,can i soup this baby up ?not savvy with everything yet ,terminology etc but learning,what i know is its a rev 2 motherboard,original 6gb hard drive 300 mhz mach speed 446 ram i know how to add to that,question is how big a hard drive can i add? from research 128 is max they don't sell that low capacity anymore also if i use a new hd with or without more gb'sdo i need a complicated method to restore my os back on?any help thanks dave don

Rather than fiddling with an ancient board that may still work...with outdated parts...I suggest just taking a given sum of money and buying a cheap, new motherboard combination that is not as ancient and will provide a better value.

If you are using a Mac, which a PowerMac G3 is, you will not be able to easily replace the motherboard. The best option would be to build a PC from the ground up with a set budget. Not many people on these forums are familiar with Mac hardware.
