Game Trouble Using DS Lite, Netgear Firewall Router

Hi, i am trying to get onto the GTS on Pokemon Diamond (lol), and I keep getting an error message that pops up taking me back to the initial screen. Nintendo said it has something to do with my firewall, which I don't know how to disable. TYIA.

I wouldn't disable the firewall
Instead I would find out which port needs to be used and open that particular one
Which firewall are you using?
