wacko.gif HI I am new to this forum, and I hope I can find some help. I have Sims 2 running on my computer system for my daughter. After having her grounded from it for about 3 weeks she went to play the game last night only to find out that our computer doesnt want to recognize the cd-rom player. I am getting a d:\ drive not accessible error. I would like to find out if there is someway to check to see if the drive is shot, or if the there is some programming problems and the computer has decided that it is not going to acknowledge this drive... I have tried to put in a music cd, and it wouldn't play that either, the cd didn't even move.

Thanks
S

Hi suzeybq,

Since the drive plays music, I am tempted to believe the cd itself is damaged. Try cleaning the cd with a cd cleaner. I would also try to read another data / program disk to see if they work. Process of elimination. thumbup.gif

I hope this helps!
