Pirates of the Caribbean awesome game from 2003 crashes

this is pirates of the caribbean, released in '03.
I start the game, but when I select 'new game' from the menu it starts to load but then exits after a few seconds.
does not display any error message or anything like that
what might be the problem and what could i download to get it to work?

What are the system requirements of this game, for what Windows versions was it made?
And what Windows version do you have?

figured out it's just cause my computer is rubbish
