mcafee has deceptive billing practices and they do not help the customer. they took an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account and will not cover the bounce charges they caused.

It's not just McAfee:

Although in fairness, people should really read the EULA of any program before installing, or at the very least use EULAlyzer from Javacool, the same people who develop SpywareBlaster.

All paid subscription services are automatically enrolled in the McAfee Always On Protection program, which includes automatic renewal in your account. This feature ensures your virus protection is not interrupted. Without the auto-renewal feature, you would be left unprotected when your license expires. This information is disclosed on the website at the time of purchase. This information is also stated in the End User License Agreement (EULA) item number 3, which must be accepted at the time of installation.

You can read the entire McAfee User License Agreement:

What is McAfee's Always On Protection program (questions about auto-renewal)?
