and i'm wondering why there is nothing about NOD 32? and ESET? I always use either them or AVG and switch back and forth between the two depending on how my mood is. is this not a recommended AV program?

ESET and NOD32 are mentioned here and are good tools. The fact they aren't free limits the number of members who discuss them or recommend them.
