System = Pentium 3 running at 750 Mhz with 384 meg's of ram with XP Pro O.S.
Boots as it should with a PS2 standard keyboard attached.
Once its up and running I can disconnect the PS2 keyboard and connect the USB keyboard.
While trying to boot with the USB unit it won't even allow me to get into setup or Safe mode.
Went to Safe mode with the PS2 unit and removed the keyboard in device manager, then re-booted with the USB unit but still didn't find it.
This old PS2 unit acts up once in a while so would really like to replace it with the new USB keyboard.
Does anyone have an idea of whats going on here?
Chuck

Any BIOS option for a USB keyboard? Not an uncommon problem on older systems.

I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)

Also, check in the bios and make sure that it wont halt on keyboard errors.
