I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to animate a single desktop icon. I downloaded and installed Spyware Blaster unpaid version) onto a friend's pc (Win XP Home Ed) and would like to find a way to remind her to manually update the definitions for it.

I thought if I could animate the icon for S'ware Blaster, say every 4-5 hrs. or so, she might take the hint to check for new definition updates at least once a wk.

I didn't know if this is possible to do, or if someone out there has a more obvious way to remind her to ck. for new defs. occasionally.

Not afraid to dabble in RegEdit if that's what it takes.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There's a program called Microangelo On Display that purports to accomplish this. I've never tried it so I cannot attest to its functionality. Also, it's not free, but does have a seven day trial period.
