I have a Dell Inspiton 4150 Laptop. For some reason the DVD drive just doesn't show up on the Laptop. Most of the time it can be seen in device manger and under my computer. However sometimes it just won't show up and I can't use the DVD drive. I was trying to install some software on my Laptop through a CD and it asked me to install the 2nd CD. When I went to do this is say's the D:set directory cannot be found. Then I looked in device manger and under My Computer and there was no sign of the DVD drive under devices and removable storage. What could be the problem? Thanks for any help on this issue?

I read through the link you sent me. I don't seem to have the upper and lower filter to delete in the registry key that they said. I also can't uninstall the driver for the DVD drive as it is not in the device manager. When the computer starts it shows the DVD drive under My computer for 20 sec and then it disappears. I really don't know what to do next. Help.
