Hi. Have new Advent laptop, Intel Core 2, 1.83MHz, 1.9Gb RAM, running XP Pro. After setting up a dual boot with Vista, then removing it, my video playback in XP is slightly choppy, not terrible, but annoying. No stoppages, no other system probs. Tested w/ VLC, MPC and WMP. WMP to my suprise worked best, but still noticable. Shouldn't be a RAM problem, have plenty according to my RAM meter. No probs watching flash vids on browser. Drivers for vid and dvd current. Virus scanned clean with MBAM, SAS and Avira. I suspect a windows setting for buffer/cache/something.
Any suggestions?
