Sound Recorder says another application is recording Sound Recorder refuses to record

Sound Recorder refuses to record (see attachment) and claims that another application is recording audio although: (1) no other programs are running, and (3) two printers, a mouse, and a modem for my ISP are the only devices plugged into my USB ports. (I also have MusicMatch Jukebox installed as a music player.)

Does anyone have ANY useful information that could potentially help in getting Sound Recorder to record?
