I cannot access the Internet via 'normal' mode. I am currently accessing via 'safe mode with networking'
I have tried all the trouble-shooting - re-set cable modem, ran Malwarebytes, Super Anit-Sypware - all to no avail. The problem only occurs on my desktop, my lap top works fine thru my wireless router.
IPconfig shows I am connected, however when I try to ping a site (or sites) I get an error DNS error messages (cannot access this site). I am at a total loss - any thoughts???
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
There might be a typing error in the address.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
Thanks so much in advance.....

Boot in the normal mode
1. Open Start Menu > Run and type cmd and press Enter
2. Type the following and press Enter
ping 208.67.222.222
(208.67.222.222 is the ip address of OpenDNS servers.)
What do you see? Do you see something like Request timed out and 100% Loss etc?
Or do you see something like Reply from ?
Also repeat pinging for various websites like ping www.yahoo.com etc and see what happens
Please tell use in your next post what happens.

I did both IPCONFIG & various PING tests
IP CONFIG shows my machine is connected to the host, but cannot find websites below - this is sporadic as I am currently logged into Bleeping Computer on the same machine. I am at a total loss as to why this occurs.....
