Very new to this forum - couldn't find a "post" radio anywhere under the "introductions" so hopefully this posting won't get lost in forum dust somewhere LOL.

My RW name is Trina - I'm really a computer Junkie - self taught almost everything I know about computers straight from Windows 95 through to a tiny bit amount about Vista - I use XP I like it, it usually runs pretty good for me. I've used Vista in the past & I can get around on it - but the rest of my family would sit at the computer cussing & swearing on how much they hated Vista LOL - so to help lesson their frustrations I down graded the desktop to XP - after a LOT of reading and falling asleep while reading. I've encountered alot of virus through the years & have successful fixed the computers they have infected. (Again Self taught with a LOT of reading) Search is Great for finding help - if you know how to "dig deep" - as is that mysterious "windows Help" you just have to know what to ask & where to look. I've found that all /or most of the "Help" is a blue print for usuing the computer and/or program - very helpful & also very time consuming if you're a slow reader like I am (need to make sure I understand it ya know  )
I've been to this forum many times & find it very helpful - I've not joined in the past as I didn't really have a need to - as this forum does allow browsing of most topics which was able to assist me in the many tech journeys I've been on (AWESOME btw!).
I Decided to join because this time I've gone & done it real good by getting a tojan (I'm pretty sure) it pretty much has rendered my computer useless & at the moment I don't have another computer to back me up. I think I've almost found the bug but I'm not sure - I've been working on various components for about 2 weeks now - in Safe mode with networking - the only way I can "get in" so to speak. Besides that reason I belong to several "chats" & social networks - I see lots of questions for help where I've been able to help, and also seen questions that stump me. I have many "techy" friends in the various chats that I belong to that have schooled for degrees & if they have the answer to something that someone in here is looking for I'll ask them for permission to pass it along. <--- Main reason for finally joining.
All over the internet if you meet someone called Tequilla Sunrise (TequiLLa with 2 L's <-- it's more than likely me) So say hi ok?

Hello Tequilla Sunrise and  to Bleepingcomputer!

I suggest you start a thread in Am I infected? What do I do? stating all your symptoms, any steps you have already taken in an attempt to solve the problem, and any other details you can provide that may prove useful. Someone should be able to help you there!

However please be aware:

Running Safe Mode W/ Networking is a BAD IDEA. By doing this you are exposing yourself directly to the Internet with no protection whatsoever. No resident protection, no firewall, no built in security protocols, nothing. It is an extremely dangerous practice, especially in a case like yours when you've already got an infection on your system.

You should refrain from using Safe Mode w/ networking unless specifically instructed to by a trained specialist. Use another machine to access the Internet.
