i was wondering wats the best firewall is bc my norton 09 internet secuirity is expiring pretty soon. i heard that comodo was

Comodo's D+ is extremely powerful - but only if you know how to use it. It is probably not the best choice for average users.

I suggest you stick with Windows Firewall, or use a simply outbound firewall such as Comodo (without the antivirus or HIPS components) or Outpost Firewall free, and then focus on preventing malware from entering your computer in the first place. Using Firefox with WOT and Adblock Plus would be a good start.
