Welcome to Bleeping Computer, a free community where people like yourself come together to discuss and learn how to use their computers. Using the site is easy and fun. As a guest, you can browse and view the various discussions in the forums, but can not create a new topic or reply to an existing one unless you are logged in. Other benefits of registering an account are subscribing to topics and forums, creating a blog, and having no ads shown anywhere on the site. When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix logs. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.
To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello and welcome!
Please run part 1 of S!Ri's SmitfraudFix: Please download SmitfraudFix Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present). Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply. Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm Follow with MBAM (MalwareBytes): NOTE: Before saving MBAM please rename it to zztoy.exe....now save it to your desktop. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop. alternate download link 1 alternate download link 2 MBAM may "make changes to your registry" as part of its disinfection routine. If using other security programs that detect registry changes (ie Spybot's Teatimer), they may interfere or alert you. Temporarily disable such programs or permit them to allow the changes.

Good day Boopme,
i tried Smitfraud but it only gave me an array of access denied messages and it immediately closed even if i already hit the allow button on a prompt. Sorry to admit it but i ran the malware first (MBAM) coz i read it somewhere before you could even post your reply to my query. Sorry again but i was just anxious to get this virus but it is still here. it still locks my home page to a porn site and it cannot be changed. I'm posting the mbam log report hoping this would help. thanks a lot, shamash Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.38 Database version: 2369 Windows 6.0.6000 04/07/2009 06:41:21 mbam-log-2009-07-04 (06-41-21).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 90791 Time elapsed: 8 minute(s), 43 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 23 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 7 Files Infected: 2 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{2e9937fc-cf2f-4f56-af54-5a6a3dd375cc} (Adware.MyWebSearch) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. Ok we're cleaning stuff. Run these next and let me know about the original issue.
Next run ATF and SAS: Note: On Vista, "Windows Temp" is disabled. To empty "Windows Temp" ATF-Cleaner must be "Run as an Administrator". From your regular user account.. Download Attribune's ATF Cleaner and then SUPERAntiSpyware , Free Home Version. Save both to desktop .. DO NOT run yet. Open SUPER from icon and install and Update it Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked): Close browsers before scanning. Scan for tracking cookies. Terminate memory threats before quarantining. Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen and exit the program. DO NOT run yet. Now reboot into Safe Mode: How to enter safe mode(XP) Using the F8 Method Restart your computer. When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu. Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys. Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode. Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program. Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All. Click the Empty Selected button. If you use Firefox or Opera browser click that browser at the top and choose: Select All Click the Empty Selected button. If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt. Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program. NOW Scan with SUPER Open from the desktop icon or the program Files list On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive. Perform a Complete scan. After scan,Verify they are all checked. Click OK on the summary screen to quarantine all found items. If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes" and reboot normally. To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again. Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab. Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log. If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor. Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply. Click Close to exit the program. Please ask any needed questions, post logs and Let us know how the PC is running now. -------------------- Can you spare some PC cycles to help FIND A CURE .. I already ran the ATF and the Super on safe mode as you instructed. but when i launched internet explorer the words "TAGA MALITA NI" is still added in the title bar and www.youporn.com is still my default home page. i tried to change it and clicked "yes" on the SUPER prompt informing me that a change in home page is detected. however the prompt popped up again telling me that the home page is changed back to youporn again. when i hit the "block" button the prompt is popping up again and again endlessly until i hit "yes". so i'm forever tied to youporn again.
Please help me. Here's the SUPER log you wanted me to publish. well I don't know if we should bother running DrWeb next or just go to posting an HJT log.. Well Run DRweb.. If it still exists do the HJT
Before we start fixing anything you should print out these instructions or copy them to a NotePad file so they will be accessible. Some steps will require you to disconnect from the Internet or use Safe Mode and you will not have access to this page. Please download Dr.Web CureIt and save it to your desktop. DO NOT perform a scan yet. alternate download link Note: The file will be randomly named (i.e. 5mkuvc4z.exe). Reboot your computer in "Safe Mode" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode". Scan with Dr.Web CureIt as follows:
To run HJT/DDS. Please follow this guide. go and do steps 6 and 7 ,, Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Hijackthis. Then go here HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal ,click New Topic, give it a relevant Title and post that complete log. Let me know if it went OK. -------------------- Can you spare some PC cycles to help FIND A CURE .. BC FOLDING TEAM Click me /info..
