My Desktop has died. Power supply went out. Instead of putting money into this old computer, I am getting a new one. Is there anyway to get my data out of the old dead computer into the new one?

Yes, you can remove the hard drive from the old computer and hook it up as a slave in the new computer. You can them copy/paste your documents from the old drive to the new one. You'll have to reinstall all your programs, though.
