Getting information out of a dead computer

New Member Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 2-July 09 Member No.: 347,729	My Desktop has died. Power supply went out. Instead of putting money into this old computer, I am getting a new one. Is there anyway to get my data out of the old dead computer into the new one?

Forum Regular Group: Members Posts: 212 Joined: 9-July 07 From: Houston, TX Member No.: 142,377	Yes, you can remove the hard drive from the old computer and hook it up as a slave in the new computer. You can them copy/paste your documents from the old drive to the new one. You'll have to reinstall all your programs, though. --------------------
