Could someone recommend me a Linux distribution that can easily be installed from the CD. I dont want to have to boot into the Live CD to install, because my computer never starts the installer. I also, dont want it to be burned to a DVD. Because I dont have a DVD reader/DVD writer. If also, it could have WPA support for my network. And remember, it must be for a CD.

Also, I found a version of gos space, that could fit on a CD. But i lost the link, could someone also help me find the link to the GOS SPACE that would fit on the cd. The usual is 768mb, which does not fit on a cd. But i found a site that had a 6xx version. But i lost it.

Thanks,

~StickDude101

Most distros that have a LiveCD installation also have an "Alternate Install" CD which is a text-based installation without the LiveCD parts. Just search for it on their website!

Hi StickDude101,

If its a CD install without the live preview then go for VectorLinux 6.0 Standard - this is the 'free' version - the paid for one gives you a second CD. See my response to your wireless card issues on this - so you get two problems solved with one Distro! Way to go VectorLinux!

Best regards,
