Finally,I downloaded TweakVI from Grinlers free software pages
Just enabled it to run at startup and WHOA!!!

Although windows bloks automatic run I have to run it manually, it is great!!!

Major Geeks and Cnet both offer it. Which may or may not mean anything.

What I have found with most software of this type is that it does perform changes that may enhance the performance of some machines.
Usually these same changes can be made manually by the User if a little research is done. Such as reduce visual effects, cut down on start up\background items, etc.

I trust no third party software to do what I can do myself.

Hello,
There is a great explanation on this site how to optimize a pc.
You need a good crap cleaner like AFT by Atribune
It is listed here on free software
Then run regulary a disk clean up and disk check
And do a defragmentation once a week
In adition to this,I use a small program called PC Decrapfiler from pcdecrapfiler.com
It will find all unnecasary programs that run at startup
Disable them, not remove, and before any action make a backup
I run once a week a Sophos antirootkit program
To my surprise it frees every time between 150 and 200 Mb!!
Also,it helps to move programs and files from desktop to documents
The less programs you have on your desktop, the faster your pc will be
Then visit majorgeeks.com and geekstogo.com
Leave your user account on all the time-its your friend!
And last words about securitu of your pc
Go to grc.com and learn how to enable DEP to protect all youf files
Install spywareblaster, a small free software that will prevent a lot of crap to sneak inside your pc
Have a free antivirus program like avg,or avast
Update all programs from windows update
Download malwarebytes,a free program and run it once a week
Download Superantispyware and run it once a week
Do this and keep your user account control ON all the time-it is your friend
Keep learning
Instal a free secunia psi from secunia.com, great program that will find all unsecure programs on your pc and propose a solution!!!

Well,
after having enough experience in using various tweaking, acelerating software,Ive decided to remove TweakVI from my pc
Also,a word of caution:
Iv downloaded an acellerator for all movies and afterward my MBAM found an Trojan agent???
It is called DAP and will try to install ASK as your search engine.I know that ASK has dubious reputation,to say an softest word, and I got suspicious imediatelly.
The same happened with Glary utilities.Same crap try with ASK and trojan agent???
MBAM,AVG,and Syperantispyware confirmed that.
MBAM removed the first one and the second one I removed with Eset online scaner.
Now my pc is happy again!!!

TweakVI is a legit program, listed (with a link to download) in Bleeping Computer's own list of Freeware Replacements for Common Commercial Apps by no less than the Grinler, the Great and Powerful, himself.

Not being a Vista user myself, I cannot attest to its efficacy. While a software program cannot, in and of itself, make a computer run faster a program can be written (such as this one) that automates the application of various tweaks, settings, and the like to reduce the bloat and wasted resources found in default configurations.

Yo, but always on the expenses of something. Like all configuration has a meaing. When the programe changes the configuration who knows what you will be missing. Having that said, thank you for saying that it is a legitimate programme. I was worried.

Whatever one my company gave me... all I know is that if I press certain buttons, in a certain order, a funny little voice comes out of this little speaker and talks to me. And if I press different buttons, in a different order, a different voice comes out. crazy.gif

If you dont want, like me,remote acess to your pc ,do the following:
click start, click run,in the space type services.msc,in the list find windows remote registry and disable it.Also, find secondary logon and switch to manual. To do this click on selected items, right click, click properties, click automatic and choose selected.
