submerged computer case

Hello,

I just finish my submerged computer case !!!!

Here is few pictures...

The system inside is:

intel Q6600 at 3ghz
EVGA 8800gts overclocked
4 go corsair dominator pc 8500
power supply Corsair 620w
WD black caviar 1To
WD caviar 250 go.

The cooling system is a MagiCool Xtreme Nova 1080 (9 x 120mm fan) radiator and a 360 mm fan.
It is connected to a Koolance PMP-450 high flow pump.

Why use a case when you can build a "aquarium computer" ?

It's just because everything fit inside my case, harddrive dvd drives... and if you looked at my site, the video show how much easier is it to use my case (Change hardware...) than what puget did.

At first I was going to do it like puget did but my objectif was to put my computer inside and it wasn't possible. (to small and I didn't want to have harddrives outside.)

Looks good, nevermind noise I bet it keeps the hardware quite cool, unless it starts heating the water up? (Be like a bath :thumbsup:

It is very quite and the cooling performance are pretty good, i'm testing the system and will add more info on it later..

very nice! i am in the process of building an AMD phenom 2 quad 955 black edition system & would be interested in getting a case like this at a reasonable price.

I like this idea!

They have hot tubs with CD's, DVD players, Special lighting... Why not a GAMING TUB???

Use the processor(s) to heat the water!!

Hi,

Happy that you like the case....
If you want one like this or a bit different, I design the case and a friend build it for me.
But it is quiet expensive.... Juste the case, without cooling system would probably be around 550$ ( I paid 2000$ for the fisrt one...) but you can personelize it. (color of the top cover).

thank aikigi. it is a nice conversational piece for an office or living room. but my lifestyle & hobby will cause complications for this case. i frequently tweak & upgrade my hardware, plus the weight is also an issue. i elect to pass for now.

Hi,

I just change a little bit how was the radiator?fan install.
I live 2 1/2 inch between the case and the radiator and I invert the airflow direction of the fan. The cooling is much better...

I run prime95 for 4 hours:

after few minutes : cpu temp 54 oC, system 29 oC

after 3 hours : cpu temp 68 oC, system 35 oC

after 4 hours : cpu temp 68 oC, system 34 oC.

When I stop the test, teh cpu temp drop to 49 oC...

( spec : inte Q6600 at 3ghz, 4 go corsair dominator 1066, evga 8800gts overclock)

I think that the same cooling system with 9x120mm fan would bring the temp even lower...
