After visiting a porn site I thought was porn tube (yes yes I am a man..), I downloaded a "new version of Flash player" (yes yes I am an Idiot too..).
It, of course, installed a virus/ malware on my home computer running on Vista. It created a folder on C:/program files called Adult XXX flash something something with three folders: lol, setup and install.
My AVG free found then these folders being infected plus the virus/malware warning for Win32/cryptor. AVG finds them, but cannot heal or remove. AVG freeze when I try to do either of the two.
My Windows security center have been turned off, and cannot be set back on. Warning in bottom right corner.
I tried the fix I found here: http://www.computing.net/answers/security/...ostx/25911.html
I renamed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as stated in post, but the program runs for approx. 3 minutes then freeze.
I restarted the computer in safe mode and ran AVG + Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Found 2 viruses with different names that was healed and removed. The folder C:/program files called Adult XXX flash something something with three folders: lol, setup and install could be deleted and I ran CCleaner afterwords.
The folders are gone, but Cryptor still pops up when I restart in normal mode and security center is off. Cannot be turned on. AVG freezes and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware freezes.
Please help (I also need a tutorial on HJT files if needed).
Thank you in advance for any answers..
I would also like to know more what this virus/malware does and what I need to loose sleep over now..
