Upgrading my brother's Dell Inpsiron desktop running XP Home
This tower was a bargain buy off of Craigslist and was bought new.
I'd like to setup the fax feature and understand that XP has this capability. I am almost certain that it does not have a fax modem already installed, but I know how to check for this
What should I look for so far as purchasing this card from NewEgg other than interface to the MOBO?
Are they pretty much generic?

Thanks in advance !

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Good suggestion. Either a Conexant or Agere chipset will work fine. I tend to avoid USR modems now.
