Hello.
OS info is in my signature.
Tinypic resized and clipped these, so I can post better quality at some place like Imagevenue, if you like.
For a few days, now, I've noticed a great reduction in performance while online.
Looking at the task manager, I found this:

So, I opened the view processes for all users, although I am the only user...I think!...and saw this:

So, I opened the view services link that appeared when I right-clicked the offending process, and saw this (all blue shaded were netsvcs with PID 1212):

How in the world do I find the source of this type of problem?
Webroot AV and Malware detectors, Spybot S&D, and a Windows Defender scan have not found anything.
I tried gmer rootkit detector, but it bluescreens me after a while, with a message from Vista stating the OS has shut down to protect it.
I did, however, notice, before a full scan, that it showed a hidden process with some kind of file (I guess) called 5525.
It went by so fast.
Thanks for any help.
Jerry.
