Thats great. A Ram upgrade is the best way to speed up a computer. If your motherboard specs say PC2100 and you have 3200 it will run at the slower speed although you seem to be impressed. smile.gif A bios flash might help.

I didn't think 2100 made any sense. Your motherboard will run as fast as the slowest component. Thats why I suggested the Bios flash. This Ram you have now was still on the drawing board when your mobo was built. Go to the mobo website and see what the flashes are correcting. Compare your Bios version to the updates.

I'm glad it worked, and happy you got such good results, but I still have to say that running faster DDR than your system board calls for is not best practice- I'd never do it or reccomend it, unless the board manufacturers expressly designed the board and BIOS for it. it's better to get the right parts.

the BIOS update is a good idea- your MbMfg might have a released a version that aloows faster memory clocks, etc. remember to make a back up on a floppy first ;)
