ATI Vs Nividia

Witch inbetween these 2 video cards are better and that you would recommend. Both same price at 200$.

I'd have to go with the 4870 1gb.

I would go with Radeon HD 4870 as well.

According to the GPUReview webpage here, the HD 4870 performs better than the GTX 250 so I would go with the 4870 also.

4870 definetly, though I think Id go saphire instead, HIS still makes a good product. :D

i'm a diehard ati fan since they worked out the bugs with crossfire. i dabbled with nvidia when they first came out with SLi and they failed to really impress me much. besides, ATI has enough of the market share, support the little guy and foster more competition i say (if all other things are equal).

If the technology is either near or on par, I generally choose ATI but if you're wanting to Crossfire or SLI, your motherboard determines which card to get. Systems without multiple GPU's can use any card they like.
