Hi downblue,
In an earlier post you wrote, "When I changed it to service pack 3, it had no change effect".
Did you do a clean install of Windows using disks that are XP-SP1a and then do the Windows updates to get SP3, or how did you get SP3?
Thanks.

Hi Zllio,
When I first got my computer back from the shop it had absolutely nothing on it anymore. When I had the new hard drive put in the computer store I took it to lost everything. I installed XP-SP1a from the disc. that came with my Dell computer when I bought it. When It finally loaded, everything looked fine until I went on the internet. That's when I noticed all the text and pictures were running together. That's when I got on my son's computer and tried to compare everything he had on his because he had taken my XP-SP1a disc. and had put it on his computer with no problems. He was still running Windows 95 on his. I don't understand from the get go how he could have just put XP on his computer and everything came out fine. My came with disc's from Dell and I'm having all kinds of problems.
Anyway, I got SP3 just from an upgrade download from, I think the Dell web site. But it was only after I upgraded to IE 6 then to IE 8 is when I noticed the text was finally readible and video's on sites like Youtube and news broadcast videos starting working again. Also, when I clicked on the drivers that garmanma had suggested me to do from the Dell site, a dialog box came up saying that the drivers I had on my computer had the current upgraded driver....do you want to continue ? I downloaded one of them that was recommended, but no change occured.
Thanks, Craig
