BleepingComputer.com: On the tail end of a few trojans- Goiogle is redirecting randomly and IE runs in background

Hello! I have been working on my sick computer for a few days. The main bugger was a trojan calling itself System Security that completely took over--corrupted my Spyware Doctor and AVG, corrupted Microsoft Office, blocked all .exe files, hijacked my desktop, threw pop-ups like my computer was a pinata, and some other horrid stuff. After some researching, I restarted in safe mode and searched my system files for what I needed to delete and finally got it to where I could run my scans again. I used my AVG and Spyware Doctor to remove a total of 6 trojans and 700+ spyware/adware/malware/etc. files. I ran my registry cleaner and fixed/deleted a whopping 1600 invalid or incorrect keys. I have almost stopped my computer (and myself!) from crying. There are a few more things lingering on. 1) Google redirects links to random sites, and 2) my computer will freeze up and when I open Task Manager I find an Internet Explorer application running in the background on some weird joke site or ad site. I am reaching my wit's end with this and could really use some help cleaning up the mess! Here is my HijackThis log:

I use computers a lot and I try to be as smart as I can about what I access--it is so irritating when junk gets through and a major attack happens! Ugh! Thaks in advance to everyone who has advice to share! I really appreciate it!

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:

• Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • DDS.scr
    
  • DDS.pif
  
  
• Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  
• A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  
• Notepad will open with the results.
  
• Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  
• Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.

Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
