Hi, i have finally stopped using Norton, it had really given me problems. I have made the switch to McAfee. Norton is still on my computer, but just set as 'disabled', and i have to disable it each time i log onto my computer. I keep getting an error called 'Symantec Email Proxy' coming up, with no error information, just 'OK'.

How do i (either):
-Stop this error and always have it disabled (without having to do the necessary steps each time i log on.
-completely remove Norton

Thanks

Hi there St Anger,
To remove Norton, I would suggest that you go to symantec.com/techsupp/
select home & office (if applicable)>access free online support>complete steps 1,2,&3>then type in the words uninstall
It's very involved, depending on your version is very important on how you remove Norton and Symantec
I personally printed everything pretaining to the removal and the procedures.
You may have to disable McAfee first, and reactivate Norton for removal, I'm not sure  .Make sure you are off line when you remove it, then do a defrag. I hate Norton, it gives me fits.
Good luck,
newbeee
