Dear Bleeping,

After several cooling and power supply issues I finally got my super computer working.

Sort of...

Some minor problems, like not enough mother board USB ports but I will figure it out.

Here's the low down:

Case: Sunbeam Transformer

Mother board: ASUS P4C800-E deluxe

Power Supply: Antec 550 true

DVD/CD/RW drive: ASUS

DVD drive: ASUS

Floppy 3.5: Sony

Video Card: ASUS AX800AGP 256/TVO

CPU: Intel Prescott 3.2 GB HT

Hard Drives: 2 Western Digital 200GB SATA Patterned RAID 0

Memory: (2) 1GB Corsair Extreme XMS 3200 400 DDR

Fans and heatsinks: Thermalright X90C with Vantec tornado on CPU, Thermalright chipset fan and heatsink, and Vantec fan card for vid card.

Zantec fan controller and Sunbeam media reader completes it.

Moving along at warp speed...Ha!

Bragging,

Man, that thing sounds insane. What did all the materials cost? (not individually, what was the total price)?

Hey,

Ok...how about I send you the pictures.

Price for this system? Well about $2000.

But it is relative; remember you can buy all the cool stuff but will it work together.

I spent a lot of time figuring out what will work together.

We will be here to help you,

I like the way you matched up all the ASUS stuff like the mobo, Video and both optical drives. Makes for a sweet machine.

Not only did I match up but I called ASUS directly.

I fell in love with the video card but I had a Shuttle board first. They did not go hand and hand.

ATI told me that they have been hearing that Shuttle boards get hot with there driver's.

I then called ASUS and they walked me through what would work with the vid card.

So, I built the computer around the video card ($500).

But I did heavy research and was burnt with many products.

Cooling was my main set back. At one time I had 12 fans running trying to cool the CPU, vid card, and hard drives.

Then I found out that my Antec power supply was pushing 13.8vdc and was bad. I called them and they told me that the Intel Prescott CPU gets extremely hot. Also to return the power supply.

So I changed the case to the transformer that has front/rear 120mm, top and two side 80mm fans. I got a brand new Antec power supply (free from Antec). Viola!

Oh, the RAID 0 rocks! The computer moves!

I'll let you know if it keeps up,
