When I format my XP I respect what Xp CD setup prompts, but after I agree with terms and agreements and press F8, there aren't my two partitions but just one, so I can't format just Local Disk C: but I'm obligated to create again two partitions and to lost my data on Local Disk D.

What do you think?

Thanks

What steps did you take to format the partition?

Do you have a Microsoft XP install CD?

System manufacturer and model?

No error messages during your attempts?
